Period Education + Evangelism
Our mission is to empower young ladies to understand and embrace their menstrual cycles through the use of period cups, equipping them to stay in school, thrive with dignity, and know they are deeply cared for. Through this initiative, we remind them of their inherent worth, the love of Jesus, and His invitation to know Him personally as their source of hope and purpose.
Why Period Cups
With this project, we aim to support young ladies in the local villages and at the local teacher training schools. Some of the young ladies in the local villages shared with us that they are encouraged by their mothers to prostitute themselves for money to get pads and tampons.
The young ladies from the local schools that we have met, shared with us that they are missing school due to not having access to pads and tampons for their periods.
We quickly realized that we would need a LOT of tampons/pads to help get these women through the year, let alone have the opportunity to finish school. So we started to look for more sustainable options.
That is when we decided to look at period cups! Period cups are reusable, made with medical-grade silicone, and can last for years (on average 3 years). This gives the ladies access to menstrual care for years without having to prostitute themselves
Since period cups are made out of medical-grade silicone, it is not made out of toxic chemicals that have been found in other period products.
Unlike tampons or pads, period cups only need to be “dumped” every 12 hours. This allows them to make it through the school day with confidence.
Gospel Conversations
Our goal for 2025 is to provide 1000 women in Kenya with period cups, period education, and ultimately gospel conversations!
To achieve this goal we need to raise $2,000 for period cups, training of the Kenya volunteers, and feeding the girls who all be in attendance.
Partner with us by donating HERE! A $50 donation opens the door for 65 women to hear the gospel and receive a period cup!
